Why local business schema matters for GEO

AI engines and search engines extract facts about your business from structured data. Without it, they have to guess from your page copy. With LocalBusiness schema you tell them your name, address, hours, services, and ratings explicitly, which increases the odds you get cited accurately in AI-generated answers. This local business schema generator writes that markup as JSON-LD, the format Google recommends, so you can paste it without touching code.

Questions

LocalBusiness Schema Generator: common questions

What is LocalBusiness schema?

LocalBusiness schema is structured data from schema.org that tells Google and AI engines your business name, address, phone, hours, service area and services in a format machines read without guessing. A local business schema generator writes it as JSON-LD, the format Google recommends.

Which LocalBusiness subtype should I use?

The most specific one that fits: Plumber, Electrician, Dentist, RoofingContractor, HVACBusiness, LegalService, and so on. Specific types help both Google and AI engines classify you. If nothing fits, use LocalBusiness or ProfessionalService.

Where do I paste the JSON-LD?

Inside a script tag with type application/ld+json, in the head or body of your homepage and contact page. In WordPress, most SEO plugins have a custom schema field; otherwise use a header/footer scripts plugin.

Can I include reviews or ratings?

Only if they are genuine reviews collected on your own site. Google's guidelines do not allow marking up ratings pulled from Google Business Profile or third-party sites. Leave aggregateRating out if you are unsure.

How do I check the schema is valid?

Paste your page URL into Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema Markup Validator at validator.schema.org. Both will list errors and warnings by field.
