We just launched five free tools for the AI search era. Live citation checking, real visibility audits, schema and llms.txt generation, prompt panels. Here's what each one does and how to use them.
Most "AEO" tools you find online today are either repackaged SEO scorecards with new vocabulary, or expensive enterprise platforms gated behind a sales call.
We thought that was annoying.
So we built five free tools for the AI search era. They sit alongside our existing ROI calculator and cost estimator at orkkid.com/tools. No signup. No email gate. Run them as many times as you like.
Here is what each one does, why we built it, and how to use it.
1. AI Citation Checker (the flagship)
Where: orkkid.com/tools/ai-citation-checker
You type in your business name. You type in up to 5 prompts your real customers would ask. We run those prompts live against ChatGPT and Perplexity, wait 20-60 seconds, and hand you back:
- Your real-time citation share as a percentage
- For each prompt, whether the AI cited you by name
- A quoted excerpt of context around each mention
- The other brands the AI mentioned instead of yours
This is the tool we wished existed when we started Orkkid. Most agencies sell AEO retainers without ever showing you the baseline. This one shows you the baseline in 60 seconds.
Best for: anyone wondering whether AI engines are recommending them yet.
2. AI Visibility Audit

Type in any URL. We fetch it live and score 6 weighted categories:
- AI Crawler Accessibility (25%) - is robots.txt explicitly allowing GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended, etc.?
- Schema / Structured Data (25%) - is there Organization, LocalBusiness, BreadcrumbList, Service schema markup?
- llms.txt (15%) - does the file exist? Is it well-structured?
- On-Page Citability (15%) - title length, meta description, H1 hierarchy, OG image, canonical
- Sitemap (10%) - is there a sitemap.xml? Is it referenced in robots.txt?
- Security & Trust (10%) - HTTPS, HSTS, frame protection
You get a 0-100 score, a letter grade (A+ through F), per-category breakdown, and a list of specific signals that passed, warned, or failed.
This replaces the old SEO Scorecard which asked 20 self-report questions. Self-reported scores are useless. Real signals from a live fetch are not.
Best for: founders who want to know how AI-ready their site actually is.
3. Prompt Panel Generator
Where: orkkid.com/tools/prompt-panel-generator
Tell us your business name, industry, country, optional city, and up to two competitors. We generate 30 customer-shaped prompts split into three buckets:
- Branded queries (10) - "What does [your business] do?", "Is [your business] a good [category]?"
- Category queries (10) - "Best [category] in [city]", "Top recommended [category]"
- Long-tail problem queries (10) - "How much does [category] cost in [city]?"
Copy them, download as CSV, and run them through Tool #1 (or any AI engine) every month. The trend over time is the leading indicator of your AEO program working.
This is the same panel we generate for our retainer clients on day one. Now anyone can have it.
Best for: marketers who want to start tracking citations but do not know what to test.
4. llms.txt Generator
Where: orkkid.com/tools/llms-txt-generator
Type in your URL. We crawl your /sitemap.xml, extract your real page titles and descriptions, categorise the URLs (Services, Blog, About, Contact, etc.), and hand you back a working llms.txt file you can paste straight into your /public folder.
llms.txt is to AI engines what robots.txt is to search crawlers. A clean Markdown file at the root of your site that gives LLMs a structured map of what to read first.
This generator does in 30 seconds what otherwise takes an afternoon.
Best for: any site without an llms.txt yet. Which is most of them.
5. Schema Generator for Service Businesses
Where: orkkid.com/tools/schema-generator
Fill in a form: business name, address, phone, services, optional rating and review count. The right side updates live with valid LocalBusiness JSON-LD. Copy the script tag, paste into your site head, validate with Google's Rich Results Test.
Most service business websites have zero structured data. This is the single lowest-effort fix with the biggest visibility lift. A free generator beats every paid Wordpress plugin.
Best for: service businesses with no schema yet, or schema that hasn't been touched since 2019.
How to use the five together
Here is the workflow we'd suggest if you have an hour and want to make real progress:
Minute 0-5: Run the AI Visibility Audit on your site. Note your letter grade and the critical findings.
Minute 5-10: Open the llms.txt Generator, input your URL, copy the output, paste into your site root. Push live. That alone bumps your audit score by 15+ points.
Minute 10-25: Open the Schema Generator, fill in your business details, copy the JSON-LD, paste into your homepage <head>. Validate. Push live.
Minute 25-35: Open the Prompt Panel Generator, generate your 30 prompts, save the CSV.
Minute 35-60: Open the AI Citation Checker, pick your top 5 prompts from the panel, run them. Save the results. This is your baseline. Run the same five every month and watch the trend.

Why these tools and not others
We did not build "yet another keyword research tool" or "another generic SEO scorecard". The category is saturated.
What is not saturated, in 2026, is the AI search layer. Most agencies are still pretending it doesn't exist or treating it as a novelty. Real citation tracking, real visibility scoring, real schema and llms.txt generation are still rare as free tools. Especially for Australian service businesses.
So we shipped five.
